A Bundaberg teen has reunited with the crew who saved his life after a fall at Mount Walsh in Biggenden. 18-year-old Jake McCollum fell around 80 metres from a pinnacle during his first ever solo bushwalk in November last year. Yesterday, our Bundy-based aeromedical crew winched a man to safety after he slipped on a rock and fell three metres at a national park in the Sunshine Coast region. Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated him for a back injury and abrasions before the helicopter arrived. The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday winched an injured hiker to safety, after he fell 15 metres while climbing a mountain. It's believed the man in his 20s was climbing up the main trail when he fell and broke his ankle.
